Update Six: October 3, 2015 It has been a while since I have last posted an update, and much has happened! In the pas month, our team has been to Plymouth, IN; Mason, WV; and we are currently in Rocky Mount, NC. It has been amazing to see God work in so many different ways! We left camp July 11th and headed to Plymouth, Indiana. It was only a 45 minute drive, so it was a nice taste of what was and is to come. The trip was smooth, and our team had a great two weeks. At the church in Plymouth, I was able to help out with the 3 year old - kindergarten group. Working with the kids is always full of surprise, and a lot of laughs! At the end of the week, we receive written testimonies from everyone in attendance, and it is always a blessing to see how God uses our team! If you would like to read some of the testimonies, you can click on the tab on the menu bar. In Mason, our team had an amazing time! Everyone at the church was so kind and welcoming, it felt like home! Also, I was able to catch up with some of my family, and we had a great time. I am going to start a monthly newsletter. I will publish it here on this site, and if you would like I will email it to you. My goal is to have it published by the first of every month. Please contact me if you would like me to email the newsletter to you. Update Five: August 30, 2015 I am sorry for not posting updates more frequently! The past few weeks have been packed full of practice, adventure, and new experiences. Staff training is quickly coming to an end. The other two road teams will be heading out for their first conference later this week. Our team will be sticking around camp to work family camp over Labor Day weekend. Over the past weeks, I have had the privilege to take part in some fun activities. One activity that stands out was when our team went to the sand dunes in Sawyer, Michigan. The sand dunes were much bigger than what I had expected, and when we reached the top, the view was breathtaking. Almost all of Life Action was able to attend the premier of the new movie, Woodlawn. It was an amazing expierence! Woodlawn is a movie about how a school divided by racism and hate can be healed with love and unity only found in Jesus. The movie is set to release in mid October. So far I have had many unforgettable opportunities. I look forward to the coming months with anticipation. In Christ, Kevin
Update Four: August 12, 2015 Family camp is officially over! I am excited! We have kicked off staff training. If you would like to see some of the pictures I took around camp, you can click the "pictures" tab at the top. Earlier this week, all of Life Action, some 300+ people, paused from our daily routines and sought out God. It was a very awesome experience, and I feel as if I have grown, been challenged, and been eager more than I have ever before! It is really amazing seeing what God is doing inside our lives here at the ministry! We are all excited to take what God is showing us to churches around America! I am excited to see what God has in store for this coming year! Also, both of the piano players are back, so we are now officially a full band! Illness is still traveling around the camp right now, but I believe it may be dissipating. In Christ, Kevin
Update Three: August 4, 2015 We are officially in the final week of family camp! Once this week comes to a close, all of the teams and staff will begin a four week training course to prepare us for traveling. Although it is the last week of family camp, activities are still going strong! I have had the opportunity to sit in and help with the youth, and it has been an awesome blessing seeing them grow, even over the course of one week! Several members of our team, as well as staff here at camp have been ill, and it seems like the sickness is spreading rapidly. If you could pray for the team's health and safety, it would be greatly appreciated! Also, our two piano players are not currently at camp. One is home due to feeling lightheaded and nauseous frequently. She was in the hospital, and now is waiting for results form the testing. Another is home getting everything sorted out to be able to leave her nurse's assistant job. I am very eager to see what God has planned for the coming weeks! Thank you again for praying, supporting, and checking for updates! Kevin
Update Two: July 27, 2015 Today marks the start of my third week here at family camp! The time feels like it is flying by, but it seems like I've been away from home for a long time! I am really missing all of you back home! The band is spending a lot of time practicing together, and we have someone helping out and critiquing us to prepare us for traveling. If you are on facebook, you can see pictures of the camp there. All you have to do is click the facebook logo on the left side toolbar. In Christ, Kevin
Update One: July 21, 2015 I arrived in Buchanan, Michigan on July 11th, where I will spend approximately two months going thorough staff training. Once the two months is over, we will hit the road for about ten months. Thank you all for your continued support! It was tough saying goodbye to my family, but I have made several new friends who feel like family. The weather here has been great! For the most part, the temperature is in the mid eighty's, with an occasional thunder storm. The camp is located in a wooded area, with a beautiful lake full of water activities. I hope to update this website weekly, with pictures as well. Thank you again, Kevin
